1. How do I get a Z Visa?
First, FAO must turn in all of your documents (signed contracts, resume, passport copies, Degree Certificate and Health Certificate) to the proper authorities. Once approved, Shengda is given an Invitation Letter and Work Permit for each applicant. It takes roughly one month to obtain the Invitation Letter and Work Permit.
Second, FAO sends the original Invitation Letter and Work Permit by EMS (Express Mail System - the most efficient way of sending mail in China) and faxes a copy. You take the Invitation Letter and Work Permit to the nearest Chinese Embassy, Consulate or Visa Office to apply for your Z Visa. This can take up to a week.
