College Overview

Mechanical & Electrical Engineering College is one of the three engineering colleges of Zhengzhou Shengda University of Economics, Business & Management. We mainly serve the equipment manufacturing industry (covering 8 major industrial categories: metal products, general-purpose equipment, special-purpose equipment, automobile manufacturing, railway, ship, aerospace and other transportation equipment, electrical machinery and equipment, computer, communication and other electronic equipment, instruments and meters). We cultivate applied engineering technical talents who are engaged in the design and manufacturing of general production equipment, basic production equipment, safety guarantee equipment and high-tech key equipment for all sectors of the national economy.

Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation (Undergraduate)

This major belongs to the mechanical discipline with a four-year schooling system, and graduates will be awarded the Bachelor of Engineering degree.
This major cultivates applied senior engineering and management talents with strong engineering application capabilities and innovative abilities. Students will systematically master computer-aided mechanical product design, mechanical system performance testing and analysis, advanced manufacturing technology for mechanical product production, and mechatronics technology for mechanical manufacturing process control. Systematic training is provided in mechanical equipment and component design as well as mechatronic system development to meet the demands of social development.

Intelligent Vehicle Engineering (Undergraduate)

As a special major under mechanical discipline, it adopts a four-year schooling system and confers the Bachelor of Engineering degree upon graduation.
This major cultivates compound senior engineering and management talents with innovative awareness and the ability to solve complex engineering problems. Students will master basic knowledge of land intelligent transport vehicles, as well as basic theories and professional technologies of artificial intelligence, electronic information and automatic control. They will receive systematic training in intelligent connected vehicle testing, intelligent vehicle perception system design, decision-making algorithm development, integration and commissioning of vehicle wire-controlled chassis, and vehicle-road coordination, so as to meet the work demands in intelligent vehicle engineering development, production commissioning and other fields.

They can also apply for academic postgraduate programs of five secondary disciplines under Control Science and Engineering, or professional postgraduate programs of Electronic Information.

Electrical Engineering and Automation (Undergraduate)

This major belongs to the electrical discipline with a four-year schooling system, and graduates can be awarded the Bachelor of Engineering degree.
It cultivates compound senior engineering and management talents with innovative awareness and the ability to solve complex engineering problems. Students will master basic knowledge of electrical equipment, as well as basic theories and professional technologies such as power electronics technology, computer technology and information processing technology. Systematic training is provided in power system relay protection, electrical drive control, grid-connected technology of new energy power generation, operation monitoring and control of smart grids, enabling students to meet the job demands in development of high and low voltage electrical equipment, power system analysis, optimal configuration of power supply and distribution systems and other fields.

New Energy Vehicle Technology (Junior College)

This three-year junior college major belongs to the automobile manufacturing category under the equipment manufacturing discipline.
It cultivates compound technical and skilled talents for the whole new energy vehicle manufacturing, automobile repair and maintenance industries. Students will master basic knowledge of the structure and working principle of new energy vehicles, as well as basic theories and skills for inspection, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance and servicing of new energy vehicles, so as to be competent for technical work in the fields of whole new energy vehicle manufacturing, power battery system and drive motor system.

Career Development

After graduation, students can take jobs in enterprises covering assembly, inspection, commissioning and quality inspection of whole new energy vehicles and components, on-site production management of whole vehicles and components, vehicle and component testing, maintenance and service of new energy vehicles, and power battery inspection and maintenance. Fresh graduates can apply for top-up undergraduate majors such as Vehicle Engineering and Automotive Service Engineering. After two years of study, they can obtain a Bachelor of Engineering degree or professional bachelor's degree.
